Originally working as a carpenter and electrician, he transitioned into coaching full-time over the past decade, specializing in personalized climbing training.
Leif has always balanced high-level climbing performance with the demands of a full-time career. His training philosophy emphasizes strategic planning, rest, and recovery as critical components—just as important as the exercises and stimuli themselves. This thoughtful approach has helped him climb 5.14b routes and boulder V12.
Throughout his career, Leif has had the opportunity to train with some of the top experts in the field, continually expanding his knowledge in training science, anatomy, and climbing-specific performance.

The 3 Month Plan is 12 weeks of programing designed to help you boost your climbing ability and is great for those who are new to climbing training. This duration of programming is what we consider the minimum length of time necessary to see real adaptations in physical strength as well as technical skill and ability. The program delivers highly customized workouts focused on building athletes whole body strength, power output, and climbing endurance.
This program includes: 3 virtual meetings, regular video analysis, ongoing program modifications, client managed schedule changes, direct message check-ins after every workout, and regular email follow up.

The 6 Month Plan is a 26 week length program that's designed for you that will grow and push your climbing abilities. This plan focuses on improving climbing power, climbing energy system work, and athletes strength to weight ratios. The duration of this program allows us to look at seasonal changes in training cycles and builds longer lasting performance phases. It also allows us to focus on creating training that will have lasting impacts in overall health and fitness both on the wall and off.

The 12 Month Plan is a year long training cycle that delivers 12 months of workouts designed to push your climbing to new levels. Like the shorter duration programs, we focus on building athletes whole body strength, climbing power, and climbing capacity and endurance in ways that suit you best. The duration of this program cycle sets it apart from all others as each month builds on the previous months training. This helps to increase athletes abilities through a macro view of the year taking into account seasonal fluctuations, cyclic training modalities and process oriented goals. If you’re serious about seeing real and lasting improving in this sport, this is the program for you.
